Q's

January 16, 1997. Dinner with bro at Q's Restaurant. We each got the five-course sampler platter, but since they served us different dinners, we essentially enjoyed eleven courses (if you count the three desserts, which you should).

The standouts were the duck confit salad and the sole. The sole's rare center was brain-oozing rich, and the duck confit...well, can't go wrong with cranberries and hazelnuts.

Alas, the desserts were somewhat disappointing, despite having an intense chocolate sauce.

(Ratings added on 7/2/01. Recollection, and thus accuracy, arguably suspect.)
